Georges Wells Section
Herbert Georges Wells is the father of modern science fiction literature and can be considered as the English Jules Verne.
On 30th October, 1938, a play of his about the invasion of our planet by Martians was broadcast on the radio, causing a wave of panic among listeners.
Jules Verne had imagined that communication between people and extra-terrestrials was possible and a few years later, H.G. Wells wrote the greatest science fiction novel of the 20th century, The War of the Worlds.
